# Dmand AI API: Verified Healthcare Provider Emails by NPI

> Dmand AI is an async API that resolves NPI numbers to verified healthcare provider emails. Submit a request, then poll or get a webhook with results.

Dmand AI is a public enrichment API built for healthcare go-to-market teams. Its current capability resolves 10-digit NPI numbers to verified, deliverable emails for individual healthcare providers (HCP, NPI Type 1). Submit a request asynchronously and receive results by polling or webhook.

## What the API does today

The Dmand AI API currently supports **NPI to email enrichment for healthcare providers** (HCP, NPI Type 1). Given a 10-digit NPI number, the API returns a verified email address if one is found. Executive enrichment and non-NPI lookups are not yet supported.

## How it works

    Send a 10-digit NPI to `POST /api/v1/email` (single) or `POST /api/v1/email/bulk` (up to `100` NPIs).

  <Step title="Receive an ID">
    The API returns HTTP 202 with a `batch_id` and per-NPI `request_id` values.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Get results">
    Poll `GET /api/v1/email/{request_id}` or `GET /api/v1/batch/{batch_id}`, or receive a webhook on the configured URL.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Read the email">
    When `status` is `completed`, the `data` array item contains the verified email and related fields.

Base URL: `https://ext-api.dmand.ai`. All public paths are under `/api/v1`.

Emails are only returned if validated within the last `30` days. Older emails are re-verified or re-enriched live, which can take up to about `15` minutes. If a request cannot finish within `15` minutes, it is marked failed and its credits are refunded.
